Bio

Dr. John Muriithi is currently Deputy Vice Chancellor at Riara University, Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Muriithi is a proven leader in the corporate world and also has impressive teaching and management credential at various universities. John was CEO of the Mater Hospital, Nairobi,
Kenya (2008- 2015). Between 2001 and 2004 John served as Chief Executive of SC Johnson East Africa as well as on the management board of SC Johnson sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Muriithi has also undertaken several change management and strategic management consultancies for leading organizations including East African Breweries, Evercare Group Kenya, MP Shah Hospital among others.

Dr. Muriithi has over 25 years’ hands on experience in marketing and management gained in the healthcare and fast moving consumer goods sectors. John has taught marketing, strategic change management and healthcare management in MBA and Executive Education programs at Strathmore Business School since 2009. John has also served as Council Member of Jomo Kenya University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and on the Advisory Board of the Chandaria School of Business at the United States International University (USIU) Nairobi.
