Gender Responsive Budgeting

Start: Jun 15, 2026
End: Jun 26, 2026
Venue: ESAMI HQ, Arusha, Tanzania
Format: Two Weeks
Duration: 2 weeks
Statement of Need

Governments formulate budgets by determining how to raise and spend public money. Such budgets tend to have a big impact on the lives of citizens. However, from a gender perspective, it is imperative that we analyse the impacts of national budgets on different groups of men, women, boys and girls. In this way, gender budgets challenge discrimination, inefficiency and corruption. Gender budgets contribute to enhancing transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
