Dr. Dumisani Rumbidzai Muzira

Bio

Dr. Muzira is currently a senior lecturer in the College of Business, Peace, Leadership and Governance in the Department of Business Sciences at Africa University in Zimbabwe. She has worked for the following institutions: lecturer and department chairperson for Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (MUAST), part-time lecturer for the University of Zimbabwe, adjunct lecturer for Solusi
University, online course instructor for Canada Summer Overseas (China), adjunct lecturer for UNICAF University, Group Accountant for S & I Valve Company, Group Accountant for Electric Motor Centre, Accountant for Anglo-Dutch Motors, Accountant for Tedco Management Services, and Training Officer for the Public Service Commission (Zimbabwe).

She has served in different university committees that include: The search and interview committee for the University Registrar, Bursar, Dean and Lecturers, A member of senate, Research and Ethics committee, finance committee, Faculty planning committee, Faculty Higher degree committee, Faculty admissions committee, Timetable committee, Academic ceremonies committee, fund raising committee, and chairing department boards and dissertation defences to name but a few. She is a PhD internal examiner for College of Business, Peace, Leadership and Governance and has supervised PhD, Masters, and undergraduate dissertations for students.

Dr. Muzira introduced new degree programmes that were accredited by ZIMCHE and some that are awaiting final approval. She has passion for continuous learning through research and interaction with other scholars. Taking part in making a difference in people’ lives
(academically, socially, professionally and spiritually) give her satisfaction.

Her research interests are in Integrated reporting, Forensic auditing, Entrepreneurship, Financial management, Change management, Quality management, and Curriculum studies. She authored several journal articles and book chapters in Accounting, Business Management, Finance and Education, and presented papers at international conferences. She is a reviewer of journals, and a university programme content reviewer for Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE) for Accounting and Finance degrees.
