Dr Feston Kaupa has over twenty-nine years of progressive and professional experience in finance, strategic management and supply chain management.

Dr Kaupa is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA), and also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He also holds professional memberships with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM), the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS).

Currently, Dr Kaupa is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS). Prior to joining MIPS

Dr Kaupa has been the CEO for the Malawi Central Medical Stores Trust (CMST) and the Natural Resources College of Malawi. He has also worked in various finance portfolios with the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi, MANICA Malawi Ltd and Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). 

  • PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, RSA.
  • Master’s Degree in Strategic Management from University of Derby, United Kingdom
  • Master’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Salford, United Kingdom
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Global Health Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Empower School of Health/Kent University
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Malawi – The Polytechnic
