Training & Capacity Resources

The FOSTER Project implements a structured Capacity Building Programme under its designated Work Packages to strengthen institutional research ecosystems, promote Open Science compliance, and support the digital transformation of science in Sub-Saharan Africa.
This section provides open-access training outputs developed as part of the project’s formal deliverables, dissemination commitments, and sustainability framework.

FOSTER Open Science Webinar

The FOSTER Webinar Series supports stakeholder engagement, knowledge transfer, and dissemination of project results across partner institutions and regional networks.

Online Classes

Structured online training modules are delivered under the Capacity Building Work Package to ensure sustainable institutional skills development.

These include Train-the-Trainer (ToT) programmes, technical deployment sessions, and policy development workshops.

This section archives all official FOSTER presentation decks used for training, dissemination, conferences, and institutional engagement.

University leaders, policymakers, and researchers met to strengthen Open Science ecosystems, promote FAIR data principles, and enhance regional collaboration.

Capacity Building Workshop – Amsterdam (June 2025)

Partners participated in intensive training on Open Science tools, community engagement models, and digital research systems.

FOSTER Staff Retreat – Arusha (May 2025)

ESAMI led strategic planning sessions to align implementation, reporting, and dissemination under Work Package 5

Study Visit – Slovenia (October 2025)

Partners explored national Open Science frameworks, FAIR infrastructure, and Diamond Open Access publishing practices.

Policy Alignment Workshop – Spain (October 2025)

A high-level workshop at the University of Zaragoza focused on institutional Open Science policy integration and Citizen Science implementation.
