Statement of Need

This course is designed for parliamentarians, government officials,  and political leaders who want to deepen their understanding of how  to effectively shape government policies. The course will cover key  concepts and strategies for influencing policy decisions, including the  legislative process, representation and accountability, parliamentary  committees, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement. The course  will also cover the role of the opposition, international relations, and  media and public relations in shaping policy.The course is designed to  provide a comprehensive overview of the various tools and strategies  that parliamentarians can use to influence policy decisions. It will draw  on real-world examples and case studies to illustrate key concepts  and strategies, and will be taught by experienced parliamentarians,  government officials, and policy experts. The course will be interactive,  with a mix of lectures, discussions, and practical exercises to help  participants apply the concepts and strategies covered in the course to  their own work. 

The goal of this course is to empower parliamentarians and political  leaders with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively shape  government policies and make a positive impact in their communities  and country.
