Strategic Educational Planning

Strategic educational planning equips leaders, policymakers, and administrators with the skills to align educational systems with national development priorities, institutional missions, and learner needs. This intensive two-week program combines theory, practice, and case-based learning to build participants’ capacity to design, implement, and evaluate strategic plans in the education sector.
The course emphasises foresight, evidence-based decision-making, and participatory approaches, drawing on global best practices and regional experiences.
By the end of the course, the delegates will be able to:
- Explain the principles and rationale of strategic educational planning.
- Conduct situational and needs analyses for education systems and institutions.
- Formulate mission, vision, goals, and objectives that align with national priorities.
Apply tools such as SWOT, PESTEL, and stakeholder analysis in planning. - Design strategic options and translate them into operational plans.
- Develop frameworks for monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment.
- Address challenges such as resource constraints, political influence, and rapid demographic changes
