Modern Management Practices
Statement of Need
The traditional management styles of the 1980s and 1990s have become outdated and no longer align with the evolving business landscape. A new paradigm of management has emerged, encompassing modern and postmodern practices that require a shift in approaches, emphasis, dimensions, and philosophy. It is imperative for managers to adopt a different mindset and think beyond conventional boundaries. The call to action is for managers to engage in “out-of-the-box” thinking and embrace innovative approaches, such as “zero-based” thinking and the redesign of both the conceptualization and implementation of management practices.
