Managing the Training and Development Function
Training and development is plays a potentially powerful strategic function. It can make a major contribution to organizational, group and individual effectiveness, efficiency, growth and success. Training management acumen is not necessarily something that you can pick up as you go along.As good managers develop, they recognize the fact that they need to enhance their essential skills to perform in their organizations. Furthermore, given the rapid pace of change in today’s business environment, employees must continually learn to maintain performance and ensure business sustainability.
The Managing the Training Function programme will enable participants to understand the key elements of managing training in their organizations and to bring the training function into the strategic core of an organization. In addition this programme will help participants to do that by building on their existing training management expertise and developing new competencies within a framework of essential skills for an HRD/Training practitioner
The programme is designed for directors, managers and officers who are responsible for the training function, those who manage training as part of their overall job and other managers/officers who want a deeper appreciation of the function.
