Managing E-Records
Developments in Information and Communication Technology have revolutionized the way people communicate. Individuals and
organizations do not have to depend on paper-based media for communication. Teleconferencing, telecommuting etc have made
meetings easier. However, these developments require that the media being used is managed properly. Magnetic tapes, flash disks, optical
disks and the like have to be stored in appropriate environments to avoid corruption of data. This is especially important given that some of the
new devices have not been tested for long enough.
Records managers, librarians and documentalists; the right participant will be expected to have undertaken a basic programmeon managing
