Statement of Need

Developing countries are increasingly finding it worthwhile to establish cross border projects. Financing and managing such international projects requires additional set of knowledge and skills beyond traditional project management and financial resource mobilization. Often, deep appreciation of how the bilateral, multilateral and EXIM banks operate as well as how decisions of whether to fund cross border projects is reached is needed. This programme unpacks the various institutions that support complex cross-border development projects, interrogates the structure of the agreements they offer and examines the strategies that developing countries need to apply in order to have more success stories.

Who Attends

This course targets middle and senior level managers in government ministries involved in, or likely to be involved in international project management. Project managers, economists, planners, monitoring and evaluation experts, resource mobilization officers and development partner’s liaison officers and those working in investment authorities.
