Statement of Need

Internal auditing provides unique service to both public and private institutions. From serving primarily as an assurance provider on financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and good governance, internal audit is increasingly being asked to step into advisory roles on business processes, risk management, and emerging risk areas. More and more, leaders in the C-suite and the boardroom view internal audit as an integral guide through the dynamic and volatile world of business risks. Internal Auditors continue to advance toward becoming the trusted advisor to management and the board.

As the evolution of the internal audit function accelerates, the portfolio of skills and attributes that determine professional success transform.
