Incident management
Incidents are becoming common in modern day organizations. Incident management is a term describing the activities of an organization to
identify, analyze and correct hazards to prevent future re-occurrence. The goal of incident management is to restore normal service operation
as quickly as possible following an incident, while minimizing impact to business operation and ensuring quality is maintained, Some of these incidents have included amongst others, terrorism, floods, fire, earthquake and epidemics. It’s purpose is to support the incident management process with the ability to log incidents, classify according to impact and urgency, assign to appropriate groups, escalate and manage through to resolution and reporting. The incident is recorded and tracked throughout the entire incident life cycle until services have been restored and issue has been completely resolved. Within the platform, incidents are handled with the task record system.
The programme is designed for senior officers dealing in public sector organization and NGOs. These includes risk assessment officers, security
personnel, disaster management officers and planning officers
