Statement of Need

This programme focuses on the increasingly important concepts of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and accountability within organizations. With stakeholders including customers, workers, communities, NGOs, students, financiers, donors, investors, and commercial entities exerting greater scrutiny, organizations must recognize the impact of their social responsibility performance on reputation, talent management, investor confidence, and stakeholder relationships.

Through academic study and practical insights, this programme provides participants with a deep understanding of CSR principles and their implications for organizational success. Participants will explore ethical considerations, social consequences, and the diverse perspectives of stakeholders.

Transparency, reporting, and stakeholder engagement will be key focal points, emphasizing the importance of organizational accountability. Participants will learn about established frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to guide CSR reporting. Effective communication strategies will also be explored to foster stakeholder engagement and establish a strong commitment to responsible business practices.
