Oil and Gas Projects are one of the major sources of energy. The global economy depends on energy and therefore countries that have oil and gas Projects have a strong influence on the global economy.

Some countries in Africa such as Nigeria, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Somalia, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Southern Sudan already have existing oil and gas projects, while countries such as Kenya and Uganda recently discovered oil and gas in commercial quantities and the process to have it exploited is on-going.

In the next few decades, Oil and Gas Projects are going to be a big contributor to the economies of a number of African Union member states. Its contribution will be by selling of oil and gas (bi) products as well as creating jobs for the workforce in the oil and gas industry.
