Fiscal Analysis and Revenue Forecasting

Statement of Need

Overtime governments are faced either with the challenge of a declining fiscal space or with a stagnant fiscal space. On the other hand, public expenditure is growing at an exponential rate. Creating and expanding the fiscal space is therefore a constant obsession of the budget and revenue experts. This requires development of models for analysing the fiscal space and for carrying out revenue forecasting.

Who Attends

The programme is relevant for revenue and budgeting officers from treasury and revenue authority from any level of government including national and subnational governments. Participants are encourage to bring their laptops loaded with Ms Excel.
