A course on media and communication can help parliamentarians develop the skills and knowledge needed to effectively engage with the media and communicate with the public.

  • Social media: Techniques for using social media to engage with the public and build support for your legislative agenda.
  • Public Speaking: Techniques for effectively communicating with the public through public speaking, presentations, and community outreach.
  • Crisis Communications: Strategies for effectively communicating with the public during crises, including handling negative publicity and managing reputational risk.
  • Ethics and Transparency: Overview of ethical principles and accountability that govern the conduct of parliamentarians in media and communications, including the code of conduct, transparency and laws regarding media and communication.
