Statement of Need

Management of public debt in developing countries is now an issue of paramount importance. Developing countries are experiencing challenges of overwhelming and serviceableness public debts hence a need to build human capacities in order to improve the capacity to manage, monitor and analyze their debt portfolios. Therefore, this course is designed to help debt practitioners in developing countries to acquire the skills that can be useful in managing both external and domestic debt.

Officials from government institutions and ministries, specifically the debt managers and practitioners of finance from LDCs, developed and developing countries and those responsible for management, monitoring and evaluation of public debts.
