There has been an increasing awareness of the need to bring about a more efficient and harmonious functioning of the various sectors of the national economies of our countries. The ongoing public sector reforms, coupled with globalization challenges has ensured that smart managers will be those who stay ahead of the "pack" by acquiring appropriate managerial skills and knowledge required of them in a dynamic and business-like operating environment.
Most of the practicing managers, however, will not be able to attend a full-time MBA degree programme, but instead would be able to attend a part-time MBA degree programme that would in between allow them attend to their regular management responsibilities. It is essentially a two-year non-residential degree programme, meant for experienced executives and policy makers wishing to acquire requisite skills, knowledge and orientation to improve managerial effectiveness and to achieve professional excellence.
