COURSE OVERVIEW Climate change occurrence on earth is no longer an issue for debate. The impacts of climate change are already being felt around the world, more so in the least developing countries of Africa, which are more vulnerable than those on other continents. Climate change leads to changes in geophysical, biological and socio-economic systems. There is an urgent need to have governments, the private sector and the NGO sector to come up with effective strategies for assessing and managing climate change related risk in order to mitigate it and achieve sustainable development goals.
