COURSE OVERVIEW
In line with the ‘new public management’ principles, many governments across the world have been attempting to transform their economies; in particular, their public services. Some have introduced many innovations and policy changes, as well as improving their governance record. However, only few countries can be said to have done very well in this regard. This workshop provides an opportunity for African governments to learn important lessons about public service reforms, effective policy formulation and implementation and good governance. The course draws heavily from experiences of two countries in particularly Malaysia and Singapore.
