COURSE OVERVIEW Performance management systems that support effective strategy implementation are needed in all government institutions. Simplifying and communicating the strategic plan so that it is understood and effectively communicated is a ‘must do’ for any organization that wants to address the inherent structural conflict between strategy and organizational design and dissonance between long term planning and operational issues. This course takes participants through the Balanced Scorecard perspectives (learning and growth, business processes, customers /stakeholders satisfaction and financial) and delves into the importance of aligning vision, people, management and resources in a manner that dramatically improves organizational performance and enhances strategy implementation. A comparison between various performance management approaches and the Balanced Scorecard is made.
