COURSE OVERVIEW

The availability of drugs and other essential supplies determines the success of any health program. Without a reliable supply of contraceptives, a family planning program cannot serve its customers; without appropriate drugs, a tuberculosis program cannot offer treatment. An effective AIDS treatment program requires an uninterrupted supply of antiretroviral drugs. To forecast, quantify, and procure any commodity requires the ability to effectively and efficiently allocate existing and future resources as well as manage the procurement process.
